Movable Type isn't the grand daddy of blogging platforms. That honor goes to Userland Software's (of Dave Winer fame) Manila and Radio (I think). Then there was Blogger. And CityDesk. And many other blogging platforms before MT came on the scene. MT just did many things a lot better than their competitors. Just giving credit where credit is due :-) Silly wabbit. I *adored* MT until I discovered WordPress about a year and a half ago. I switched and never looked back. It's so versatile and light, and because of it my coding skills have *vastly* improved. I had heard a rumor that MT was going open-source, but this is the first verification of it I've found. Yay! I'd love to give them a try again! (By the way - LOVELY site!) I feel you on this one.
