I’m interested to hear what would motivate a person to choose FMP over Bento, or to stay with Bento instead of moving up.

I still use Appleworks database which works with the latest operating system update. Can someone tell me why it’s better to use Bento? That is a sincere question. ALSO: loved the Elitist Snob commentary about using PC apps. I have been with Apple since LCII (wow!- i’m old!)
In my opinion, when forced to choose, you should have taken that slug for Apple. Better than the ‘waterboarding-like’ alternative you so accurately described.

Great review. I’m still using the database component of Appleworks, which is long in the tooth these days. I’m convinced to try Bento.
Note: You have a small typo: “Never loose track of your Elvis memorabilia again” should be “Never lose track…” Sorry – one of my pet peeves

I couldn’t Agee more. My wife recently purchased a copy for her home business and it is a wonderfly designed application with a very low learning curve. She loves it.
